Dr. V. Anand Swami founded the Swami Rama Foundation of U.S.A. in order to continue the work of his master, Swami Rama, and the Himalayan tradition. The activities of the Foundation include: 1) Holding seminars and lectures expounding the philosophy of life as presented in the Bhagavad Gita and other spiritual scriptures of India, 2) Practicing meditation and chanting and spiritual recitations for the uplift of the human mind, 3) Providing financial and other help to the needy, irrespective of caste, creed, or nationality, particularly children, for achieving independent living to the extent possible, and 4) Coordination with teachings and scriptures of other religious and social cultures for the benefit of all mankind. Dr. V. Anand Swami also founded the Himalayan Heritage Natural Healing Center in Atlanta, Georgia, to further the Himalayan teachings and help the work of the Foundation.
